Waiting for the Sun

We had a lot of rain which delayed this project. Even though the door is under a porch I was concerned with the curing process. I wanted a good hard finish before it returned to work.

The smashing results!!

This Rockport Gray is a fantastic colour and significantly brightens up the area. The neigbours love the look. I value the input of my neighbour/friends - improving the exterior of a house affects the neighbourhood too.

This was not a quick project, weather aside. It required two coats of exterior primer and two coats of coloured paint. Lots of tape and strong hand nail scoring and scraping to refine the glass edges. Oh and filling cracks, sanding and cleaning!

I should think this door will look great for the next ten years.
