The mood board for the Hawthorne House is lovely with organic textures. There is an undertone of blue in this collection. I wish I could say I wont do another blue scheme but I can't! Blue is still a dominant trend.
Let me take you through the samples:
Starting with the cabinetry – the wood is from Leicht and features a slim grooved board. Taking that mid-century design to another level!!!
smooth surfaces could be painted in the colours Coventry Gray and Ashland Slate by Benjamin Moore or selected from the Leicht surface catalogue.
The floor tile is from Julian Tile. They have two locations in Vancouver, both of which are lovely modern showrooms with good lighting and lots of windows to allow natural light in.
Alps series in Nero. I would opt for the 12 x 24 inch tile and grout in black.
The backsplash is a gorgeous Ciot tile in Nero Marquina. Again tile size 12 x 24 applied vertically.
The countertop is from FloForm in quartz, Aramis Hanstone. This is such a lovely deep grey colour that will be the only backdrop for your Instagram foodie pics.
Lighting from Eurofase. Love these two different fixtures. They are similar in "lines" but the Island light from the Giro collection runs horizontally while the oval drop pendant from the Demark collection will run vertically over the table.
This is an area of expertise for me – selecting lighting that looks cohesive yet is unique.
